Greetings Steem Silver Gold!
Quite a few new coins have been released for the upcoming Year of the Pig. The reception for these has generally been tepid at best. Which is a shame because pigs are awesome (and cute and ever so intelligent). 🐖
Here is another contender in the pig pile.
🇧🇹 Bhutan is said to be the happiest country in the world. Appropriately, that is one happy looking and stylized pig! This coin is the fourth released by the Singapore Mint for Bhutan’s lunar series. Each coin is 1oz and .999 pure.
The coin’s reverse is intricately styled and depicts the national emblem of the Kingdom of Bhutan. In the emblem you might see the two dragons and a lotus flower. The official description of the emblem is as follows:
The national emblem, contained in a circle, is composed of a double diamond-thunderbolt placed above a lotus, surmounted by a jewel and framed by two dragons. The thunderbolt represents the harmony between secular and religious power. The lotus symbolizes purity; the jewel expresses sovereign power; and the two dragons, male and female, stand for the name of the country which they proclaim with their great voice, the thunder.
