As I mentioned in a previous post, I got a book about sausages from around the world for Christmas. Because there aren't a ton of pictures in the book, I find myself googling for pictures of the various types of sausages. Because of this, Google thinks I'm very interested in sausages. As you might imagine, I also do a fair number if searches on silver coins and bullion. As a result of these two things, today this showed up in my Google feed:
That's correct, this is a commemorative coin, marking the 70th anniversary of the creation of currywurst, a Berlin streetfood. The other side isn't quite so heinous.
Let's see what my sausage book has to say about this dish.
It sounds like they aren't big fans. I have to say that since I don't really like hot dogs or ketchup, it doesn't sound appetizing, but if I did ever find myself in Berlin I would try it, just to see.
