I don't post like I used to. I think that is pretty readily apparent with a quick glance down my blog. I used to post every day, religiously. There were even times I would post multiple times a day. It was fun, I enjoyed putting together a post and seeing what kind of return I could get.
But then the Crypto Winter Came. STEEM stopped being a valuable, volatile asset that I could buy and sell for a decent profit. About the same time, life got in the way. I got a promotion at work and had to pay more attention to the work week, that time had to come from somewhere, and STEEM seemed like the place to take my attention away from.

This brings me to thinking. I am currently delegating a little over 2750 Steem Power to a couple of different services that bring back upvotes to my posts. This is all well and good if I am posting and reaping the benefits of these services, but a waste if I am not posting on a regular basis.
But I am also not out exploring posts, voting and commenting.... so the SP would be wasted back in my own account. It is serving a better purpose where it is than in my own account. So what to do?
There are options, of course. There always are.
I could take back the delegations and then lease out my SP to someone on minnowbooster. It looks like I could get around 45 STEEM a month in rental revenue from 2500 SP. I collected 41 SP, 8.82 STEEM and 10.33 SBD in author rewards in the last 30 days through posting. I can get almost the same amount of STEEM with zero effort from the leasing market. That leaves the SBD unaccounted for. Can I make enough posts to get up to 10 SBD without the assistance of these upvotes that are bought and paid for?
I could schedule shitposts to go out every day and continue to collect my post rewards until someone decides to start downvoting my content. I could call it the meme of the day, take a weekend to find 30 different memes and set up a posting schedule. Less work than it is taking to make this post, and I can harvest the upvote values with almost zero effort.
A varient on number 1. It was suggested in @ssg-community discord the other night that maybe I should sell my Gold level membership to @precious to another member at a bit of a discount over the monthly cost in liquid STEEM, so the delegation stays with the #ssg efforts, I make an effortless profit, and another member of the ssg gets a discount on their monthly members dues.
I could do something a couple of others have opted to do, start a power down and shift my SP into another token... perhaps #palnet or #steemleo. But is that too much of a risk to take with SMT and Communities announced for the 16th time a couple of days ago?
I don't know yet what to do. What I do know is that my SP is currently not being used efficiently, and I need to ponder what I will do to rectify that situation.
Got an option I haven't thought of? Let me know in the comments, I'm open to ideas.
