Ted Binion was a firm believer in sound money. Ted was stacking before stacking was cool. He constructed an underground vault that contained over 100,000 silver dollars. Ted Binion was murdered by his girlfriend. It was believed that Ted's treasure played a role in his murder. Ted's girlfriend was a gold digger who killed Ted to get his silver. After Ted's death, his silver dollars were sold to the public. Goldline was the dealer that sold the coins, marketing it as the "Binion Hoard." All silver dollars from the Binion Hoard were slabbed in NGC holders with green labels.
