What's up everyone,
So I know some of you think I'm a one horse show but I'm here to tell ya it ain't so 😂 I'm actually capable of more than just awesome hand poured bars 😀 I have a few customers from way back, when I did Gold Gilding of Coins and Bars. They still send stuff every now and then. This is actually how I made my bones in the precious metals community. So I decided to give ya a little behind the scenes look at how it all goes down.
The first bath I set the coin in is a cleaning agent. It's pretty much some crazy chemicals that react when you run the right current of electricity through it. Foams up like crazy tho. I gotta watch what I'm doing lol
Next off it's time for an acid bath. This doesn't require any electricity, just needs to sit in there for a while to prime it for gold plating.
Last stop the gold solution. This is actually a mix of distilled water, cyanide and Gold that is broken down to ions in the solution. When I run the electrical current through the ions stick to the coin like a magnet thus gold plating the coin. I do need to wear proper safety gear for this part as Cyanide Gas is released into my work space. One whiff of that and Pit Bullion would be a goner very quickly.
After the plating is done I let them dry, capsule them up and package them with the Pit Bullion Gold Gilded COA.
Don't forget to look at my epic last post. If you love silver and you love steemit it's for you! Check it out via this link: https://steemit.com/steemsilvergold/@pit-bullion/raffle-steembar-prototype
