When the 2017 Steem silver rounds were announced, I knew I wanted one. But money was a little tight. Wait for the next paycheck. Still tight. Wait for the next paycheck. And then my mind blanked — forgot all about them. Oops, they’re sold out. Okay, next year. Gotta know they’ll do it again.
2018 rolled around. Yes, another round! Voting on designs, really paying attention this time buckaroos. Yay, they’re ready. My money situation is better this year, good to go!
And then I completely spaced it out a second time. A sign of early-onset dementia? Okay, so I was even a bit of a space case when I was younger, but this is starting to get a bit embarrassing.
Then I saw a post by @phelimint with 2018 rounds for sale. No dinking around this time, I pulled out my debit card. And even though there was money in the account to cover it, the transaction didn’t go through. Hmmmm.... this has happened before a couple of times, and it’s always been when I was trying to make a purchase from somewhere other than the USA. My credit union has weird international restrictions? But a credit card worked just fine.
And yesterday my mailbox had a treat in it:

Filled with goodies:

Shiny metals are notoriously hard to photograph well (their website has better pics than I was able to take) and what appears to be a defect on the silver round isn’t there at all:

A Steem silver round of my very own:

Note to self: no spacing out in 2019!
