Do you ever think about taking a break from Steemit?
It has been really crazy around steemsilvergold the past month and I have been putting in a few extra hours here and there to keep up with everything but it's never ending. I’m not complaining about that, I like never ending because there's always more. But from time to time, I get burned out and I think this is one of those times were I need to step back for a few weeks to recharge the batteries and get my head back into the game. I notice that I have burnout cycles and the older I get, the easier it is for me see them coming. I have had burnout cycles with almost everything I have loved doing in the past and think of them as part of the game.
What do I mean by burnout?
It simply means battery low and emergency calls only. I have been spending way too much time on steemit and focused on steemsilvergold. I don’t need to spending all this time here, I do it because I love it and its how I like to spend my time but too much of a good thing they say. My burnout cycle goes...
- Find a new hobby/job/challenge
- Fall in love with it and learn everything about it
- Block everything else out and focus on it
- Over insert myself
- Tired all time, not eating good and snappy/sarcastic
- Head wrecked and negative effects on family and friends starting to show
- FUCK THIS - IM DONE and quit
I have gone through this cycle with the following in order of selling on eBay as main income, being a restaurant manager, playing poker as main income, designing websites and I feel one is coming with steemit. They don’t come often but like I said, I can almost see each step as it happens. Right now, I’m in-between numbers 4&5 so I think it would be a good time to step back before I get to number 6. I do immerse myself in steemit because it such a great place, I could spending days reading posts but maybe I could do some drawings to replace the time. It’s something I rarely do but once I start, I could spend 3 hours drawing something that I think as taken me 30 mins.
Why I’m I feeling burnout
8 months of posting every day while getting more and more involved with the steemislvergold community would be a start. The past few weeks in particular have been busy with all the madness that has come from a town hall meeting. It has drained me mentally and I’m sure others as well. I’m finding it hard to think of great posts to write about, I used to have lists of post title ideas wrote down but they are all used. Looking through my blog, I can see that I hardly ever post about silver are gold anymore. Most of my posts now are either steemsilvergold community posts are posts related to some form of group activity like group buy are something. I have lost my way and forgot about my shinny stack. My reason for being here.
At work, they have put me in charge of a different department so I’m having to learn all new processes, paperwork, production planning and blah blah blah and that's not helping.

What the fuck I’m I playing at, look at this for a past 4 days. Not 1 post related to silver stacking. Number 469 is semi related as it's a post to show people how to get some silver are gold easy but I’m going to be honest. That was a lazy post, I had the pictures already and didn’t even proof read it to make sure it made sense. I posted it because it was an easy post and I need to post at least once a day. And then the SBD Lotto!! If I was smart, I would have made it a lotto so that the winner is paid in delivered silver. How much better would that be? Have to get back to my roots.
What is the plan?
I have been thinking that I still need to post everyday as I have gone gold tier with the new steemsilvergold upvoting bot and I’d like to get my steems worth so and ensure I have enough steem for next month payment. I understand that I have certain duties to perform and I will still be doing these. So for the next maybe 2-3 weeks I will for the #steemsilvergold community be doing the Monday night membership/enrolment posts and keeping that updated with nominations and sponsorships. For @ssg-cummunity, I will be doing the Sunday update posts and running the nickname voting contest. Apart from that all you guys are going to see from me is the SBD Lotto post to fill in all the gaps. I will not use the #steemsilvergold tag for my lotto posts as I do not want to be spamming the tag.
I will be back in full swing in a few weeks, like I said there will still be a daily post from me but it will mostly be lotto posts. I might not get back to all your comments and the best chance to have to get me if you need to will be on the group's discord server.
