Today we're going to take a close look at one of the rounds from the Bitcoin series by Anonymous Mints and master coin designer, Julie Lindquist.
The reverse of the round has the Anonymous Owl, which is the mints logo, along with weight and purity.
I'm digging for info on the Anonymous Mint but, not surprisingly, I can't find much! Looks like their website was built in 2013. Their website is clunky as hell, but it doesn't matter because they have partnered with JM Bullion so buying their products with crypto is easy! But to see ALL of their rounds on one page just click HERE.
As you can see I was fortunate to get a low # on this mintage of 1000! Sweeeeeet....
And the obverse...
I love every detail here; The binary code as the background, the lines around the "B" that seem to plug into the "B", the high relief wave circle that separates the design from the printing, and that old computer font.....perfect!
Now the finishing touch, and something I think is just so cool, the serial # stamped right into the rim!
I can just see these finished coins rolling through the serial stamper and the stamper ticking off the next number and stamping....one after the other. I'm fascinated by this process and would jump at the chance to see this in person.
Well, thanks for stopping by to check out this, the second round in Anonymous Mints current Bitcoin series. Lookout for my post on the first round, Bitcoin Guardian, coming soon. Have a great day Y'all!
