First Batch of Silver Has Been Ordered
Today is a historic day for the 2018 Steem Silver Round as we locked in the first batch of silver with the mint! Late last week I was talking with the "Stack Advisor" @raybrockman as the price of silver was above $17 per ounce and continuing to rise. I was starting to get a little nervous that the price may be getting away from us, but the guru said silver hasn't historically had strong Friday's.
What would you know he was spot on! This is why he is the "Stack Advisor"! On Friday, the price of silver was down slightly and there was a beatdown today in price. During the beatdown, we locked in some silver with the mint! 1000 ounces to be exact!! The mint will hold this silver for us until we are ready for the rounds to be minted!
