After speaking with the Mint throughout the weekend and this morning, it seems we need to make a few changes to the design.
Due to the intricacies of the design and the look, it seems that a 2D design would be the better route to go according to the mint.
The main reason for this is that with a 3D design the die is created by a sculptor. The current design we have is flat and does not show depth that is required for the 3D design. Consequently, the sculptor would then be creating the design by himself almost since there are no references for him to work with.
The 2D design is created using pantographing where they take the final image and have it drawn by a fine pencil. There are some details that would not get picked up such as the lines in the acorn.
When looking at the design it should scaled down to the actual size that the round is going to be, 39mm. This will give us the best idea of what the round will look like when it is finished. Some of the super detailed lines will get missed.
It seems that it will be best to clear out the fish from the middle and the roots. Also, after speaking with the mint, they suggested to clean up the foliage as much of it will blend together if left alone.
After working with the design for a few hours earlier, here is what I came up with. Of course, it needs to get approved by the community and @welshstacker.
Here is the design before adding in the animals
We may still want to clean up some of the foliage along the edges!
