Welcome to our inaugural episode of the Steem Sister Show!
My sister @maryjaney joined the platform recently and I have been so excited to start doing more collaborations together. We’ve posted a couple of ukulele duet’s over on her page… but today we are launching something extra special.
What is the Steem Sister Show All About?
I’m so glad you asked. Our goal is to help bring more fun, lighthearted content to the Steemit platform! If you look at the trending pages… the content is often about cryptocurrencies or the blockchain in some way. There is nothing wrong with this type of content, in fact I post on these topics sometimes – but we think there is space for so much more.
As a community, we talk a lot about attracting more content creators to the platform, and we want them to feel at home when they get here. If they see all the trending pages filled with content about cryptocurrencies… it might turn them off because it is not content they are usually interested in consuming.
Why “The Steem Sister Show?”
We wanted to play on the fact that the Steem logo has three “S” … just like us. Steem Sister Show for the win! You may see us play on the whole “Sister power” vs. “Steem Power” in the future too!
Big shout out to my friend @goldmatters for helping us brainstorm some ideas for branding the show.
The Format
We are going to pick a THEME for each show and then ask each other questions based on that theme. We are planning to put a bunch of questions in a hat and then just go back and forth.
Here’s the fun part… we have a rule that we cannot share our answer with the other person before the show starts! That way you guys can watch our raw, unfiltered reaction!
We are going to aim to film a new episode once a week! The topics might range quite a bit from health and fitness, to dating, to time management tips, to our morning routines… sky is the limit.

This Week’s Theme: Rapid Fire Get to Know Us!
We thought to kick off our first episode, we would do something a little different. Instead of choosing a specific topic, we decided to throw some random questions in a hat and go through as many as we could! I hope you guys enjoy not only learning a bit more about each of us, but watch us learning a few new things about each other as well.

Oh yeah… we are going to talk crazy dating stories, some of the things we’ve learned about what makes a great relationship, and who knows what else. I think we’re gonna get a little irreverent in this one. But we’ll see! Who knows where the conversation will take us.
