If this is the first time you read about us, we are a skateboarding community on Steem Blockchain. We are organizing weekly skate contests, writing weekly blogs highlighting all skaters on Steem and more.
Recently we launched our token, the SKATE TOKEN. Tokens were distributed to over 50 Steemians who support our community and more than 2000 SKATE TOKENS have been tipped to various Steem users in 3 weeks
SKATE TOKEN Utility
As every token, SKATE TOKEN must also have a use case in order to gain value. The SKATE TOKEN will be used for tipping other content creators easy and fast.
HOW?
Just visit the comment section of the post you felt like tipping and type the following :
!SKATEx
The command is !SKATE and x symbolizes the number of SKATE TOKENS you want to send to your favourite author.
The moment you type this comment, @steemskate will transfer the ammount of tokens you want to tip to your favourite author's Steem-Engine wallet.
Here is an example
The most awesome thing is that not even a single SKATE TOKEN leaves your Steem-Engine wallet. All the tokens are sent from @steemskate 's wallet. Additionally, an extra 0.5% of the tokens you tipped are burnt. That means that if you tip a fellow Steemian 100 SKATE TOKENS then @steemskate will transfer 100 SKATE TOKENS to him and 0.5 SKATE TOKENS to @null (Steem account used for burning tokens)
Min. Tip : 1 SKATE TOKEN
Max. Tip : 100 SKATE TOKENS
@Steemskate will be sending the SKATE TOKENS you wish to tip to someone but if you want to be able to use our tipping services you must have at least 5,000 SKATE TOKENS in your Steem-Engine wallet. Let's take a look at some examples so you can understand things better.
Trying to tip SKATE TOKENS with less than 5,000 Tokens in you wallet.
Trying to tip more than 100 SKATE TOKENS (with 5,000 Tokens in your wallet)
(Min. tipping ammount --> 1 SKATE TOKEN)
(Max. tipping ammount ---> 100 SKATE TOKENS)
How to get your hands on some SKATE TOKENS
600,000 SKATE TOKENS were distriputed amongst all Steemians that have been supporting @steemskate for the past 2 years. If you were not on the list don't worry. There are 3 ways you can get your hands on some SKATE TOKENS
1) Buy SKATE TOKENS via https://steem-engine.com/
We have set up 3 Sell Walls for 800,000 SKATE TOKENS.
99,600 SKATE TOKENS for 0.001 Steem each
200,000 SKATE TOKENS for 0.005 Steem each
500,000 SKATE TOKENS for 0.01 Steem each
2)@Steemskate Bounty Contest Round 1
We will be giving 10,000 SKATE TOKENS for free. Here is what you have to do :
Write a blog post or film a video talking about us (@steemskate). You can talk about your personal experience with Steemskate, about the people you met or if you just found out about us you can just spread the word about the SKATE TOKEN
Use #Steemskate as your first and #Skatetoken as your second tag
Your Blog must be more than 100 words and videos must be over 1 minute
The deadline for Steemskate Bounty Contest Round 1 will be on September 30.
People who participated will be sharing 10,000 SKATE TOKENS.
3)Delegate and earn SKATE TOKENS
Delegators will be receiving a certain ammount of the SKATE TOKENS monthly depending on the ammount of SP they delegated. For every SP you delegate, you will be receiving x5 SKATE TOKENS. That means that if you delegate 10 SP you will be getting back 50 SKATE TOKENS every month.
The Steem Power Delegated to us will be used to vote exclusively skateboarding content and give all skaters the appropriate support. Whether we like it or not, a big upvote is a huge motivation.
