I'm going to be writing on the importance of drinking water before pregnancy ultrasound.
Its going to be a short write up.
First of all, what is ultrasound??
I may define it as a kind of sound wave not differ from other physical sound waves with frequencies, just that it is higher than the upper audible limit of human hearing.
Ultrasound is used in different fields.

Why drink water before the pregnancy ultrasound???
This is actually done because , ultrasound works by means of sound waves that requires a medium to propagate in which water serves as a good medium.
When the bladder is full it moves the bowel out from your pelvis into your abdomen which aid in achieving a clearer visualization of the pregnancy, cervix and uterus.
In other words based on the pregnancy ultrasound, "the water helps to float the baby".
Actually ultrasounds (pregnancy) are performed mainly by using transabdominal ultrasound.
This transabdominal ultrasound is better done when the bladder is partially filled with water.
It help in making the images clear during the examination.
it is preferable that you drink at least 2 glasses of water before the ultrasound.
Ensure you empty your bladder 1hour before the examination which is by urinating.
when you take the 2 glasses of water, please try not to empty your bladder which means don't urinate, until you are through with the ultrasound.
Also ensure that your bladder is not full because it might cause pains when filled.
If it seems like is too full, try emptying it a little by urinating.
