Cebu Steemians with @surpassinggoogle

Steem Summit is a day full of surprises. It is more than just an activity to unite the Steemians of the Cebu community. It is like making the virtual world of Steemit came alive through the showcasing of talents, giving of information, and sharing of inspiration.
Before going into details, I would like to congratulate @ybanezkim26, @thegaillery, @legendaryll, and @honeyletsgo for the success of this Steem Summit event. I couldn’t imagine the great sacrifices they poured to realize this huge breakthrough. From the local and international speakers down to the banners and giveaways, the organizers sure did prepare so much for this thing to happen. The whole program was very organized, and huge surprises were flooding all over the place the whole time.
I came to the venue with a good friend, @nikkabomb. That time, the international speakers of @kryptonia are already discussing on how the system works. Not only that they have given us the idea on how to earn supercoins in synergy with the Steem platform, they also tackled the whole essence of blockchain itself. I find it very helpful especially for the newbies who still have a lot to learn about the blockchain technology.
I have been using @kryptonia for a while now, and I am already earning supercoins by completing some simple tasks. During the Steem Summit, I learned that the founders of @kryptonia, the Senn brothers, came all the way here from Honduras. They are also the ones who sponsored the rental of the venue, and we, the Cebuano Steemians are very thankful for that.
I find the place very homey. At first, I thought it just a typical coffee shop with sweets and treats pouring all over the place. But when I entered the room and get in touch with the facilities, it really felt like I’m in a friend’s home for a festive buffet celebration. The steem summit banners and exhibit, the delectable food, and of course, the familiar and the new faces of Cebuano Steemians made the place even more enjoyable. I am just glad I did not have a full stomach before the event, otherwise, those delicious nourishments won’t fit in my little belly.
Since the highlight of this event is to showcase the talents of the Cebuano Steemians in forms of poetry, photography, travel stories, and curied posts, I never expected that there are other forms of talents that will be shared by our fellow Steemians. I personally witnessed @jaderpogi’s beatbox performance during the 7th Cebu Steemit Bloggers Meetup, but this time, he brought his whole team for a grand beatbox performance.
The Cebuanos were also serenaded by @jembee’s and @queenlyka’s angelic voices. Oh, how I wish I could sing the way they did.
And of course, the jaw-dropping pole dancing performance of @anneporter! Oh boy, the crowd was silent all throughout that “Dive” performance of hers! All I could hear were the background music and the outbreaths of astonishments. After her amazing performance, I, together with @nikkabomb and @olaivart laughed our hearts out after jokingly exclaiming that the pole may break if we’re the ones doing the pole dancing. You know, chubby problems.
Steemph.cebu’s ever dynamic core leader, @jassennessaj, also showed how the local Steemit community of Cebu progressed over the past months. And to even further the community’s camaraderie, online discord server co-created by yours truly and @fernwehninja, the Teenvestors was presented. The aim of this server isn't only to promote Steemit but also to share our aspirations in traveling the road towards financial freedom.
Our very own @morken also shared the great opportunity Steemit is offering to all of us. He is sure a witty and funny speaker! My jaw almost got locked because of his comical punch lines.
The international Steemit personalities never failed to extend their support as well! We were able to watch the inspiring videos by the co-founders of the great community I am in at @sndbox, @hansikhouse and @voronoi. The Cebu Steemian community has been growing exponentially because of your support. Thank you so much!
@surpassinggoogle, our boy Terry, who is very close to everyone’s heart also left a message of inspiration for all of us virtually. Little did we know, he is planning to surprise us with his physical presence during the event! It was such an honor to meet the generous man who is very supportive of our endeavors. When I asked where he will stay for the night, he told me that he will stay in my heart. Such a sweet pogi! @surpassingoogle, you will not only stay for a night in my heart, but you will forever be embedded in the hearts of all the people you touched. Forever.
