Los cantos de ordeño son cantos de trabajo de los llanos venezolanos. Se asocian al ordeño de las vacas y se utilizan para calmar al animal durante la labor. El ordeñador llama a la vaca por su nombre y el animal al escuchar su nombre se acerca y responde con un mugido.
Este canto de ordeño fue escrito por Antonio Estévez y popularizado en la voz de Simón Díaz. Nos muestra el lado más puro del ser humano, su capacidad de conectarse con la naturaleza y ser parte de ella.
