Most people these days learn drawn animation in the computer with a drawing tablet but the pencil and paper method can be just as fun and rewarding. In this video I briefly explain how traditional drawn animation works. It's pretty simple and cool to try out.
Did you know that creating traditional drawn animation is in some ways similar to stop motion animation? After drawing your images you photograph them with a camera mounted above a table and connected to capture software - just like we do with our stop motion work.
