I will start off by saying if you are un familiar with Storj or Storj Share, it is a crypto coin earned by sharing your empty drive space, the goal of the company is to decentralize cloud storage. The only problem is they pay their drive share "employees" monthly. My first month with Storj went alright, I downloaded the Storj Share GUI and allocated some space on my drive and bam, I was sharing my drive space, and hosting peoples files. I shared my space for about 3 weeks of the month at which point I decided I wasn't going to share any more for a few reasons, one being that it takes a lot of bandwidth when files are being saved or accessed on your drive. I saw my payout in the wallet a couple weeks later when I remembered Storj and decided to open the wallet. It was about $3 worth, not bad I thought since I had only shared about 30 GB. But here came the first problem. They the Counterparty wallet. In case you are un familiar with Counterparty, they have very high fees, almost like Coinbase but to a much worse extent. I clicked transfer and then it told me I needed to deposit 0.0005 BTC to cover transaction fees, I did this and tried again, it then told me I needed 0.00073 BTC to cover transaction fees, the fees kept getting higher as I deposited more BTC, but i solved it by using a custom fee. Fast foward a couple months and here comes a new issue, a much bigger issue. I did drive share for a month and a half, with more storage since I decided I didn't need it and i wanted to try Storj again. No payment came that month and so far no payment this month. Although they did just assign a new CEO, that should be no reason to not payout your employees, the people who make your coin what it is. Try if you want but remember, they are, in the end, just a company, just trying to make money.
