Take a look at video of a very Happy Abbi. I get to see this and wanted to share. Edit, three hours after posting this.
Our guest we had last weekend went home on Monday. Abbi stayed home with her nurse for the day while I drove the Grandchildren home. Abbi is always very happy when the kids go back home. More attention time for her by me. Go figure!
I encourage a reward system with Abbi. Her reward this week was going on a road trip to no where special. She picks a reward to work for early in the week. If she does all of her tasks and chores for the week she earns her picked reward. This week she did a much better job of cooperating, participating, and being happy to help out. Abbi the nurse and I went out Friday afternoon for a three hour drive to reward Abbi. She enjoyed her road trip until we got back home.
Tasks completed this week are:
Walked in gait trainer Four days and a total of 100 rounds thru the house.
All bed, wheelchair, and floor range of motion exercises.
Helping with all personal care as much as she is able to.
Getting her chores done in a timely manner. She has three chores 1. Pull shirt she wants to wear out of chest of drawer.
- Place small trash bag from her room into kitchen trash can and close the lid.
- Take her dirty clothes from her bed and place them into her hamper for dirty clothing.
I know some might think why does Abbi have to do all of these things. I feel they give her a since responsibility and self worth.
In conclusion we have had a blessed week of good health, much laughter, and each other.
Here is a video of Abbi
Have yourselves a great week to come.
Love to all
