There lay before me a beautiful creature whose slender body seemed like it was made out of China. The moon was all but a shadow compared to her glow.she seemed so relaxed and content, like a newborn in it’s mother’s arms, safe and nourished. Her skin was strangely radiant and her black hair was long and enchanting like a platinum trimmed tapestry that spoke of ancient magic and fables unknown. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it . When I leaned in to identify who this beauty was, a wave of Indian Jasmine and European lavender that seemed to be emitted by her fragile figure ,filled my nostrils. Her smiling thin lips concealed untold secrets .Her eyes fluttered open. They were a brilliant violet trimmed with blue.
Wait...those eyes!
When I recognized who it was....my heart felt like it had been smashed to smithereens and world seemed to have come to a standstill. It was none other than my best friend Clarine. “Clarine! You! How?! When?!” I shrieked and sat upright. I smacked my head and looked at my reflection in the full length mirror in front of the bed. My body was covered in love bites and hickeys. I cursed myself and turned my head towards Clarine who was now blushing red.
“Umm you are missing a few clothes “ she muttered with a shy smile.Head down.
I looked at myself and it hit me that I was nakey nakey in front of a girl ! I quickly pulled at the edges of the sheet to cover myself as best as I could ignoring the loud gasp that I heard. But when I turned towards Clarine again, It was my turn to blush. In my hurry to protect my nude body I had forgotten about her! I realized what I had done and I threw the sheets at her . I turned my back towards her and covered my eyes. Just hoping that it would all turn out to be a dream in the end. This was my best friend! How could I ever face her again in the same way that I had been for the past twelve years of my life? I started to shake and tears ran down my cheek. Partly because I was scared of losing my best friend and partly because I knew she wouldn’t want a happy relationship with me either... I felt her arms wrap around my chest and she hugged me, holding my sobbing body closed to her fragile one...I smiled in between sobs when I recalled those times when I needed a hug or comforting words, she was always there for me.
“It’s gonna be alright Josh.” She assured me like always She then whispered in my ear....something that made me so overjoyed that I broke away from her embrace and jumped all over the room rejoicing and screaming Hallelujah !
