It has a formidable personality. It stands tall and bright during the day, calm with two red blinking lights at night.
In a way, I think of it as today's brachiosaurus, guess it's a Flintstones memory.
It seems like it cannot get angry. I guess the slow pace gives out an air of calmness about it. Like how you shouldnt instantly reply to emails, it gives a vibe of irritation and you should take some time.
It's 3.00 am and I had a restless sleep after a tense day. I look out the window and there it is, the high crane, the only thing visible. It's angle changes everyday, but it is there to tell us all to take a rest from ambitions.
I am used to seeing the guy everyday. If I were a little more crazy, I would have talked to it. The sight calms me, and worries escape like a soda fizz.
Someday it will go away after its job is done. In its place will be a building that will obscure my view of.... well other buildings. The 'train tracks between the fields' view was long gone.
A better way to remember something is to write about it. It's like I can revisit here.
