Today, I went to a beach with a friend. We actually were bored and didn't know what to do or where to go. We just riding around and our travel stopped when we passed a beach. The beach is located in Lancok, Bayu disctrict, North Aceh, Indonesia.

This beach has been a family recreation spot for past few years. There's no fee required to enter the beach location, but if you come with a motorbike or car, you will be required for ticket. For motorbike, ticket price is Rp. 3000 (around 0.2 USD).
When we arrived, the atmotsphere was quite quiet. Honestly, I like the atmosphere. It was great, I never though this beach has turned into a decent recreation spot. I often visited this area in 2004-2009, back then it was just a regular beach, not recreation spot. So, it's glad to see how things has changed better.
The beach environtment is dominated by clump of bamboo, pandanus, and some other trees. I like the bamboo, it makes the beach shade and calm, perfect spot to sit and relax. In fact, the bamboo is the one that attract us to enter the beach. Taking selfies is our first agenda here 😎
There are bunch of stalls for visitor to sit. Few chairs are placed under bamboo pandanus trees, I think it's great. I love to sit there and feel the beach wind.
If you are hungry or you are food lover, there are also some food stall at the beach you can try, they served various of foods, especially seafood, noddle and various drinks and juices. We didn't order any food or drink, because we were very stuffed at the time. We just sat and taking pictures.

At the time, guests were dominated by groups of children, they seemed to enjoy their happy time here. I don't know if they come with friends only or with parents, because I saw no parents there. It was funny to see those children sitting there together as if they're adult, they even confidently asked me to photograph them. Kids today 😛

By the way, swimming lovers will be disappointed about this beach. While the atmosphere is great, the beach itself (I mean the ocean) is not ideal for swimming, it was not interesting at all, because the water is not clean, not blue, and not eyecatching! So, unless you are truly a fanatic swimming lover or you don't give a shit about cleanliness, this beach is not for you.

This beach is for families, people like me, people who visit the beach just for hanging out without swimming, people who love to enjoy the atmosphere, and also they who are in love and want to have romantic moment in the afternoon 😉.
By the way, like in other recreation spot in Aceh, this beach is closed during the night.
