If there is something that haunts Indian parents unlike inter-caste marriage, then it is same-sex marriage. In our country, it is still illegal to choose their partner, especially if 'it is against the order of nature'. And in 2013 again the criminalization of Section 377 by the Supreme Court further worsened the situation.

Two girls fighting for their love against their parents
In Bangalore, 25-year-old and 21-year-old married in a temple of a woman, after which one of the parents filed a police complaint. The police are now trying to 'consult' them.
As their parents did not say yes to the relationship, both of them decided to run in May 2017. They lived two weeks before hanging out together at different places. While elder one working in an call centre, the younger woman studies the BCom in a private college in Bangalore.
Although police had been placed by their parents after they found that the complaint, they could not arrest them because they are both adults. They are happy together and do not want to go back home, they told the police both through NGO.

With the details of the marriage, the parents told the police that they have physical relations with each other. The case has now been sent to the Women's Assistant in the Police Commissioner's office. As told Mumbai Mirror, senior officer Bis Saraswati said he had talked to both women and turned his "consultation".
Society still doesn't let them live.
Such stories prove that although the country is developing, we continue to retreat in our beliefs. And given the fact that we are living in the 21st century, this is a big problem.
