A story about the number one key to failure.
Alot of people ask me about what is the secret to success is. The truth is, I don't know. But I do know that key to failure is trying to please everyone.
Once a painter to wanted to paint a picture that would please everyone. So she drew the best picture that she could and she took it to a market and she put instructions people to mark on the part of the painting they didn't like. People came in general, they praised her work. But each, eager to to give their opinion and they marked a small portion of the picture. By evening, the painter found that the entire picture was black with marks. The next day, the painter returned with the copy of the first picture. This time she asked people to mark the part of the painting that they liked. When the painter returned a few hours later, she found that every stroke that had been disliked the day before, had received praised that day. The painter concluded, "I believe the best way to please half of the world, is by ignoring what the other half has to say". People will always have an opinion about what we say or do. That's why we can't fret over their opinions. We need live our lives the best way we know how.
Because you can't please everyone.
So just focus on doing what you feel is right, taking advice and counsel. From select people few people in your life that you trust and respect.
