Greetings from Brown County Indiana. Glad to be here, and looking forward to porting my content over here.
I'm a guitar player by trade, involved in performing, composing, audio production, music instruction, and trying to ramp up my video skills so I can do more of my work online. I love to write, doing so every day, much of it posted on my website, StringDancer.com. I like to tackle a fairly wide range of topics, from those things I know a great deal about (music, guitar technique, etc) to those that interest me greatly (precious metals, political dysfunction, homesteading, bashing the banksters, bucking the brainwash, and what might be considered by some to be traveling other subversive thought avenues. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but still smart enough to marry a fantastic woman and create a nice life with her in one of the world's prettiest places, the famous artist colony of Brown County, Indiana.
I was attracted to Steemit for several reasons, mostly because of my dissatisfaction (to put it mildly) with YouTube's 'adpocalypse' campaign to marginalize viewpoints that don't fit in with the approved neo-liberal narrative, and Facebook doing similar tweaks to their algos. I love our country, believe in God and the Constitution, and am known to be fiercely independent and a bit of a curmudgeon. But at my age, in this era... if you're not grumpy, you have your head in the sand.
