Welcome to #SublimeSunday , a tag presenting you with the unique opportunity to post something a bit different, wacky, crazy or just whatever takes your fancy and instigated by me @c0ff33a ☕️
First up though is a #beautifulsunday (hosted by @ace108) photo with a #funkyedit (hosted by @krazypoet) with Saturation to the Max.
Stop the press...it's sunny in the UK, and devoid of people social distancing in effect Coronavirus has officially shut all our hospitality industry - cafes, coffee shops, pubs, nightclubs, leisure centres, gym, cinemas all shut by the Government for the near future. A large chunk of my customer base too, fortunately I have a good reserve of general public customers and utilise both eBay and Amazon seller platforms to spread orders so actually tomorrow we are backed up with orders - in fact it's been so busy on home coffee orders we didn't clear everything Friday despite best efforts.
To avoid being blocked in work again I parked reasonably priced French SUV outside work, although note I didn't block my own warehouse enterance. Look closely at the brown lintle above my car and you might just make out Parkins Garments Ltd still along there. Maybe the next painting will need to be outside, people keep saying they have trouble finding the business because of a lack of obvious external signage. My answer, people don't tend to break into building if they have no idea what is inside..Stealth business although it worked better when the windows were all rotting and falling to bits.
Painting progress only a few hours today, got the back wall done and started on the wall behind the hoist to the upper floor. But that needs more Sandtex external masonry paint which I need to buy, plus a green masonry paint for the lower section instead of that strangely brown. I was also mulling over removing the radiator because it's redundant and just a dust trap, and the light switch next to the door needs replacing - works but the casing is held together by duct tape O_o
It's also Mothers Day in the UK, but Boris Johnson told us to be responsible and not visit our Mother's to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Well if taking flowers to my mum gives her Coronavirus we REALLY have something to worry about.
I'm not convinced everyone here is keeping the requisite 2 metres social distancing.
Lovely day for a walk though, and I was definitely away from anyone that might have a virus.
And then it was time to head over to my Dad's to cook Sunday lunch, he's a few years below the Isolation age - although to be fair Coronavirus is not to fussy on age and even general health is no guarantee it won't put you in need of serious medical help. But I have managed to remain particularly well isolated for the last 10 days, just driving to work, and one stop on the way home at the petrol station to deposit parcels - it's pretty easy to stay a good distance from people there.
With the good weather it was an opportunity to help out in his garden a bit, spring it seems is on the way.
Little splashes of colour popping up everywhere.
And the odd Dafodil too.
And a #funkyedits to finish.
