I took my baby to the hospital because he had a fever, but at some point, I stopped worrying about him because of the other number of serious child cases I found there.
Our bedmate at the hospital after we were moved from the emergency ward to the main ward was a little boy of four years old with four holes in his heart. He was diagnosed with the condition last year but because his parents had no money for the operation at the time which was 4 million naira, she took him back home to go seek funds.
Unable to raise anything even from the organizations she spoke to, she kept on hoping something would happen as she continued to take care of her Son. Last month, however, the child suddenly stopped being able to walk or lift his hand, and she rushed him back to the hospital.
When she went to the hospital, the doctors told her these symptoms were a result of the hole in the heart not being resolved. This young boy has four holes in his heart currently, and he is in so much pain and discomfort.
His mother on the other hand is stressed, confused, and does not even know what to do next. Even though this family was a stranger, I took serious pity on them, and I promised her that in my little way, I would try to raise funds for the operation.
This four-year-old child is Simeon Jeremiah with four holes in his heart. The current price for the operation has been increased to 6 million Naira and he would have to stay in the ICU afterward for a few days, the number of days that would be is something we do not know yet, but the cost of staying in the ICU for a day is 180,000 Naira.
I am seeking the support of the capable hands in this community to please help save the life of this young boy. I am hopeful that we will be able to come up with something soon and the operation will be carried out on the young boy, as he is a child who deserves to live.
Thank you so much, I will continue to give updates on how much we have been able to raise and how it goes. Thank you once again.
