Yesterday's imperfect, unpredictable Mississippi has become today's highly-engineered super-highway, carrying America's fortunes around the world.
Interesting article about how researchers are learning to used the Mississippi River to help reverse coastal erosion. Be sure to watch the short video too. A lot of research is coming to the same conclusion, the best way to restore the swamps and marshes is to reconnect them to the Mississippi River and the silt that it carries. I hope they build more of those diversions......
