Hi Steemians! I would like to share to this community what I have shared in my personal Facebook account regarding a particular scenario, earlier today.
This is definitely not a sight to behold, but I will share it anyway.
This is my view while patiently lining up waiting for a multicab going to Peerless from school (work) earlier. This isn't the first time I had a view like this, but this is definitely my wake up call to do something.
FRIENDS, WE DON'T DESERVE THIS KIND OF VIEW. WE SHOULD NOT JUST ACCEPT THIS REALITY. AND JUST SETTLE BECAUSE WE THINK THERE ARE NO SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEM LIKE THESE? THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL CLEAN UP OUR WASTES IN OUR BEHALF? C'mon, WE CAN DO MORE. WE ARE CAPABLE OF DOING MORE.
Let us OWN this problem, and personally DO SOMETHING about this, even in our own little ways. Reduce your plastic intake, opt for reusables, do not settle for one time use utensils, cups, packaging, etc. LET US ALL BE MINDFUL OF OUR ACTIONS. I know this issue can be on a larger scale and can also be caused by big establishments/businesses, but can we at least do our part on mindful and minimal-zero waste consumption? I know it isn't easy, specially in this City. But I know, IT IS POSSIBLE.
We always say we want CHANGE, can we first start it on ourselves?
