Have a nice day everyone! This is my entry for this week's theme which is about "Easter Eggs". As far as I can remember, we've been doing this since we were kids. This time my kids do it then their kids. It was handed down to the present generation.
As shown above, we used to do egg hunting on Easter Sunday.
I collect the eggs from the respective parents a day before the Easter. These are intended for the kids who will take part during the egg hunting. All the eggs are hard boiled. After drying, I do the painting myself using a watercolor to make the eggs colorful and attractive to the 'hunters'. Some sponsors give some amount for door prizes as to who got the most hunted eggs. We also put some amounts on the shells as love gifts. The parents hide the eggs on alloted space only for the kids to know the boundary of their hunting site. Though I also reserve some for those who haven't found some eggs. Kids really enjoyed it including me.
Sad to say, this activity was stopped when our pastor told us that it was against the rules of our church because such practice is paganism. For me, it was only for fun and I thought it connects with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anyways, we're not pagans and I believe in God.
Thanking @olivia08 for initiating this contest.
Till then,
