Now here's my reading for the upcoming week (beginning today, May 8th, 2018) ...

Happy Tarot Tuesday, Steemians!
Here's a brief bit on how I put this reading together every week -
I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes - it's a new picture of the back of the cards every week.

Now the reading works like this - pick the card (or cards) that you're drawn to, then scroll to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week. If more than one strikes your fancy, go for it! In fact, I've been told there are some who pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading! 😊

Now that you've picked your card (or cards), you just scroll to the bottom of the post for the big reveal.
And as you're scrolling through, please enjoy this incredible original song from magical musician @isaria. I actually had another song of hers (Slide) set up as the Jeopardy music for this post, but then I caught this piece Sunday night on the The Steemit Creative Curation Show with Shane and Isaria. It just resonated on so many levels for me that I knew I had to use it instead! Bonus - it's not past post payout (hint... hint... LOL!).

As she didn't include the lyrics in her post, here's a bit of backstory on how the song was written -
"Sometimes I compose music in my dreams. It's usually a dream where
I'm listening to a song and wishing that I wrote it...then I wake up and realize
that I did write it lol.I generally wake up from this type of dream at around 4 AM and have to force
myself to get up to record the idea before I forget it.
Sometimes I'm too lazy to get up...or I have 5 cats sleeping on me and I can't get up.
But, most times I actually make it out of bed.I have a ton of these little dream music ideas recorded on my phone
and sometimes I turn them into songs.Broken is one of those songs.
I dreamed of the melody:
"Do you believe in love?"
"Do you believe in me?"I heard those 2 lines over and over in a dream. When I woke up, it was so clear
in my mind and sounded so familiar to me that I was sure it was already a song
in existence." ~ excerpt from Broken // One Of My Original Dream Songs by @isaria
Wasn't that amazing! Okay, now it's time for the big card reveal (and what a MAJOR reveal it is!). Your message is...
Drum roll, please and thank you

This!

1. The Hanged Man
Let go. Sometimes when you struggle to untie a knot, the more you pull at it, the tighter it gets. You’ve been tugging at a rope (an argument, a relationship, a situation) trying to get it untangled, but it’s only making things worse. Now it’s time to surrender, at least for a little while. Decide not to decide. Let things be for now. Do as the late, great John Lennon did when he was, "just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll. No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go." You might even find that when you stop pulling, the knot releases on its own.
2. The Empress
Mother of all creation. This is the ultimate mother - caring, nurturing, and pregnant with possibilities. You are about to give birth (figuratively speaking, and regardless of gender) to a marvelous creation - a piece of art, a project at work, an idea to make your life so much simpler. This may also mean that the Universe has seen your struggles, recognizes all the hard work you've done, and is arranging a serendipitous turn of events that will feel like a great big cosmic hug. Oh, and sometimes when I see this card, I can hear Eric Draven saying (as he quotes William Makepeace Thackeray), "Mother is the name for God on the lips and hearts of all children."
3. The Magician
You can create it. You’re powerful. Whatever the problem or issue is that you’ve been having, you have the the tools to solve it right at your fingertips. Don’t give away your power – claim it, use it, and you will be unstoppable. And while I know it might seem like a strange comparison, whenever I get this card, it reminds me to invoke my inner Dark Willow. Not in an "bringing about the Apocalypse out of sheer grief" kind of way - more of a "channeling the magic and tapping into your inner badass."

Hope you enjoyed your message! Feel free to shout out in the comment section with your thoughts, or any questions.
Bright blessings to you in the week ahead!
