What to do with dormant accounts ?
I'm sure some of you have multiple steemit accounts perhaps for your kids, gf, ex-gf ... whatever for. These accounts could be just sitting down there and not doing any posting as there is practically no one managing it.
Here is one suggestion , let it vote on you ! And earn that extra SBD from your spare accounts and they in turn will also get curation rewards. Don't expect too much, however its one of the better way to not let your dormant account rot away.
Step 1
Goto http://steemvoter.com and SignUp for an account.
Step 2
You would need to start adding in your accounts. You would require to provide your Posting Key of your Steemit Account.
How to get your posting key
- Click Wallet
- Click Permissions
Step 3
Time to add in RULES
Rules are telling SteemVoter to auto upvote whoever you want once they have posted something. How many rules you can enter depends on how much Steem Power you have.
On the basic "free" services SteemVoter provide rules according to your SP holding.
Steem Power Active Rules
Steem Power | No. of Rules |
---|---|
<50 | 3 |
50-99 | 5 |
100-499 | 10 |
500-999 | 25 |
1,000-4,999 | 50 |
5,000-9,999 | 100 |
10,000-49,999 | 200 |
50,000+ | 500 |
Adding a Rule
Adding a rule is really simple , fill in the author and vote power percentage. By default its 100% , you can even place in a lower percentage for authors who posts more then once ada and you want to conserve your voting power percentage.
Vote Delay in Minutes here is where you need to consider a few things. If you want to receive 100% of curation rewards, you would have 0 delay in minutes. If you want to earn maximum curation rewards for the account which is voting, then you place in 30 minutes. Its really up to you on how you want to set the voting delay.
Summary on SteemVoter
Its a useful tool which is part of the @buildteam project. I do suggest you use it to follow and support your favourite authors or for your spare accounts to consistently vote on you without you requiring to login into their accounts and manually vote.
I do hope that you find this tool useful for your daily use of Steemit.
