Introduction
As a healthcare provider, sometime you have to work during weekend to helping our society. So every sunday, Sabah Medical Assistant Association(AMAS) provides screening services at Lido, Penampang, Sabah Malaysia focus on Blood Pressure(BP) checking to detected early sign of hypertension, blood sugar testing in monitoring diabetes and levels of cholesterol.
Here i am with my colleuge.
Location: Lido, Penampang Sabah, Malaysia.
Time: 7.00 A.M - 11.00 A.M (Every sunday)
Why Need to check Blood Pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels?

Blood pressure is important. The higher your blood pressure is, the higher your risk of health problems in your future(heart problem and stroke).
But, the problem is high blood pressure often has no symptoms, and it's very difficult to diagnosed. So regularly checking the blood pressure is the only way to know if you has high blood pressure.
If you have already been diagnosed with hypertension or any type of heart disease, your blood pressure measurement should be more closely monitored (as in malaysia the government clinic only open monday- saturday(excluding emergency and trauma department), so our association come out with this facilities long time ago, to help people check and monitor their blood pressure on sunday)
2. Blood sugar testing

Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects the way that body treats the glucose (sugar) in the blood vessels. Failure to early detected on diabetes disease, and to monitoring it can lead to other serious complication, such:
Cardiac/vascular event, such as myocardial infarction, heart attack or stroke.
Kidney problems - may required dialysis.
eye problems - may lead to loss of vision(blindness).
Sexual issues - low libido and erectile dysfunction.
Circulation and scarring problem - which can lead to amputation.
Thats why, blood sugar testing is important, especially in part of diabetes care. So, go check you blood sugar now. Lolz.😬
3. Checking levels of cholesterol

Same with hypertension, high cholesterol levels usually don't cause any signs or symptoms, so a cholesterol test is an important tool (the only way)to know your levels of cholesterol.
A cholesterol test can help determine your risk of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is the build up of plaques in your arteries, which can lead to blocked or narrowed the arteries throughout your body .
Conclusion
This 3 type of screening is very important because, this is the only way to detected the chronic disease such hypertension, diabetes and atherosclerosis or other heart problems.
The recomended is, checked regularly, starting by age 30 or younger for men. If you are a woman, you should begin routine screening by age 40 or younger. But, to be on the safe side, you may want to get your screening every 5 years beginning as early as age 20.
But, if you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease or stroke, or if you are on medication you may need to check and screening more frequent as order by doctors.
