Smart wearables have been on the news since pre-Covid and once Covid hit people started looking for Smart Devices that can track health and keep them up to date in that department. So Smartwatches became a common thing to buy for all health-conscious people. Hell, even I goy one for myself, and now I am looking for one for my Dad. But there was one tech that was kinda hovering around below the public radar which was AR Glasses which stands for Augmented Reality Glasses. To be honest I feel like AR is a technology that sounds cool but the development in it is quite lacking as not a lot of people are focusing on it. But it seems that Facebook is now starting to take a look into Augmented Reality.
Facebook seems to be working with popular Glasses company Ray-Ban for their new AR Glasses and it has also been confirmed that these AR Glasses from Facebook could be seen as soon as this year. AS for the availability of these glasses and the price is yet to be shared and I feel like this would be a device that would be priced on the higher band of the price segment.
This is going to be quite vital for the whole AR segment for smart wearables as if the users take a genuine interest in these AR Glasses then that will put several things in motion which will also include action taken by various companies for their own pair of AR Glasses. Now I can't say for sure how these first pair of AR Glasses will turn out to be but I am hoping for the best as personally, I would love to own a pair of AR Smart Glasses.
