The earth has a surface of 510,100,000 km², but even in our solar system that is rather small. Just look at Jupiter, whose diameter is 11 times bigger than our planet. And if you look further...
NASA has just discovered a planet that is so big that the astronomers are no longer sure it's a planet.

The NASA spacecraft Spitzer Space Telescope discovered the giant planet at about 22,000 light years distance. The object is gigantic - its mass is more than 13 times larger than Jupiter - and received the name 'OGLE-2016-BLG-1190Lb'.
The planet is so big that NASA doubts whether it can be called a planet.
The planet could also be a brown dwarf, also called a 'failed star'. Those dwarves do not behave like a planet, but also not like a star, they are somewhere in between. They are big enough to generate heat - from about 150 degrees to 200 degrees Celsius - but not big enough to support the nuclear fusion of regular stars.
