Apparently, the guys from URBANEER in conjunction with the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), got fed up with the cables in the kitchen, because at the last CES (Consumer Electronics Show) that took place in January 2018 they showed their innovative kitchen that allows users, from charging their mobile phones, tablets and laptops, to using a microwave or a coffee maker and others, all without a cable in sight.
“Working with the WPC, we wanted to design a kitchen that offered more than a convenient place to charge your phone,” offered Bruce Thompson, founder and president of URBANEER. “We wanted to do a wholesale rethinking of kitchen design where technology was integrated into the hardware as well as the user experience.” He added.
The key piece of this kitchen is in the countertops, which come integrated with wireless power through "pads", using the Qi standard. With this standard users can enjoy the wireless charging of compatible phones and tablets, but this goes further, since you can use kitchen equipment without having to connect them to an outlet on the wall, limiting their movement.

As you can see, this Haier device is running without wires. In case you need to move it, then you just take it and change it to another place where there is another "pad" and it will continue to work, as simple as that.
