Finally, all the speculation has come to an end, Google has announced STADIA a gaming platform where you can jump into games in seconds no matter what hardware you have.
The keynote began with Google showing us the amazing power of its data centers, they are more powerful than an Xbox One and PS4 combined, with all this power they are able to stream games in 60 fps, HDR and 4K resolution.
The keynote also showed a demo where a player could jump into games from a youtube video using a Laptop and then keep playing on a smartphone, then on a PC, passing to a Tablet, and finally to a Chromecast, all of this while continuing to play the same game where he left his character in the last device. Mind-blowing.
They also showed the Stadia Controller, capable of connecting to the cloud via Wi-Fi to get help from developers or to share content on Youtube. Also, the colors are very Pixel smartphone-like.
For games they only showed Assassins Creed: Odyssey, Doom Eternal, NBA, they also showed some tease images of possible games coming very soon to the platform, some say this picture featuring cowboys boots and hat might be from Red Dead Redemption?
Finally, Google Stadia will be available in North America and Europe later this year.
