You might have heard or might said " Trojan horse has attacked my PC/system". So, What actually is Trojan Horse? A Trojan horse, or Trojan, is any malicious computer program which misleads users of its true intent.
The name Trojan horse or simply Trojan comes from the ancient Greek story which you might have heard. The Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid a select armies inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and the Trojans pulled the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, ending the war.
Trojan in computer misleads user by attracting user to install the malicious software.For eg: you may have seen ads on website saying " You computer is at risk ! please clean you pc now" or "Your computer is missing adobe flash player,please install it " which when installed will download further milacious apps leading your pc to run out of memory.
How to be Safe from Trojan
- Don't visit untrusted website
- Don't download apps unless from official website
- Don't use cracked versions or from unofficial source
- Don't open spam emails
What to do if your pc is infected from Trojan ?
- Disconnect Internet connection
- Use Antivirus program like Hitman pro,malware bytes to remove trojans
- If second process didn't work, format your PC
