It has been abit over a year since Google started to give support for Chromebooks to use Android-apps directly within the ChromeOS by installing them onto their "smaller" harddrive that they have for the OS itself.
Google has now once again given android support to 16 other Chromebook models with ChromeOS. These include Acer, DELL, HP and Lenovo models. These units will have the possibility to download and install apps from the Google Play Store, instead of using the already installed streaming service that only provides a certain amount of games.
Mostly schools use Chromebooks for their educational purposes for students and is a great way with Google Play Store to be able to install those licensed apps on a lesser expensive unit, rather than doing so on a iPad/Tablet or PC to keep the costs down.
Google has previously promised that all Chromebooks sold and released during 2017 and beyond will have support for android-apps. The 16 units that gets the support to install android-apps includes the following models:
Acer Chromebook 11 N7 (C731, C731T)
