Swedish design studio FLYTE, specializing in the manufacture of home accessories, based on magnetic levitation, has announced a new project called STORY. The novelty, launched at Kickstarter, is a unique minimalist watch, which can be used both horizontally and vertically. Instead of a single arrow, a small metal ball is used here, which hovers above the dial by means of magnetic levitation. In this case, a disable digital display, located under the surface of the dial, can display the exact time.
The STORY clock can be used in 3 modes. In the first of these, the ball shows the current time as an hour hand. The second mode will allow you to count long periods of time before some important event for you. Well, the last mode in which the clock works is the timer mode. In addition, the STORY is equipped with a built-in backlight that simulates the phases of the moon, sunrise and sunset. The clock is set with a special application for your smartphone.
The use of special technology by FLYTE allows the clock to be placed in a horizontal, vertical and inclined position without deteriorating levitation.
