United States Air Force 18 Space Control Station confirmed the entry of the space station on the South Pacific Ocean. The company has identified and monitored all artificial objects in the orbit of the Earth. In a statement, the company said that the module has been confirmed in cooperation with Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea and UK.
Researchers said that China's space laboratory Tiengong-1 had already lost control of the system, breaking it down. However, it was not possible to determine the exact time. All kinds of communications were disconnected with the module. As a result, there was no control over its fall, it is said in the BBC report.
Australian National University's astrophysicist Brad Tucker said that the remains of Tiangong-1 fall to Tahitian's 100km south-west.
In an interview given to Reuters, Tucker said, "The small part has definitely fallen on the surface." Ninety percent of the atmosphere can burn and 10 percent fall on the surface, the weight of this part will be 700 to 800 kg.
"Most likely the ruins fall into the ocean and if people pass through it, it will seem to be a waste of the sea, which will spread across thousands of kilometers," added Tucker.
In 2011, China sent the TianGong-1 module to space. It is launched as a part of the country's space research project to launch docking and orbit tests. China has also plans to build a permanent station in orbit by 2023.
In 2013, China was planning to destroy the TianGong-1 module. But the time of its mission was repeatedly extended. In the end of 2017, China thought that this module would enter the Earth's atmosphere.
