Storj partnered with FileZilla to integrate their decentralized cloud storage with the popular FTP software. This is great news for users of FileZilla wanting to diversify their storage but also for people running farming nodes, i.e. renting out hard drive space which is now actually starting to have a market. The amount of actually used shared disk space jumped a couple of hours after the announcement.
Currently there are still a lot more renting nodes than actual users but I am confident Storj will gain traction in time. Especially if they release a client like Dropbox/Google Drive has, and/or, getting more partners and apps (for ex. Cyberduck) using the service.
You can read more about it in their official blog:

There has been some turbulence around the leadership of Storj and other projects like sia exist that look very promising.
From a "normal consumer market" outside of the crypto world though I think Storj has more options to gain traction than sia where you need to get siacoins to buy for hosting, etc.
Both services currently don't allow sharing a URL to people, or, having a simple web app interface to use the service. That's what I'd love to see in the future!
