A Blatant Disregard to the Message
of the science fiction classic 2001: A Space Odyssey. I'm worried this is setting a dangerous precedent. I'm not about to give full control of my house to a computer, let alone HAL 9000, a super computer from the above mentioned film. The computer takes full control of the ship, killing the entire crew. He does this because of political propaganda that conflicted with his programming and mission objectives.
No Hackers
I'd also like to point out that HAL's betrayal is not the result of malicious hacking. Even if your autonomous computer is immune from hacking, the great message of this movie is that there can be unforseen consequences of artificial intelligence.

Approach with Caution
Human arrogance is rampant and we have a proven tendency to overlook the consequences of our actions. We should be cautious about relinquishing control of our homes. Autonomous computer systems are new, exciting and could potentially improve ones quality of life... but stop and ask yourself, do I really need this?
I'm not touching HAL with a ten foot pole.
