The social networking site "Facebook" is set to appoint a senior media official, at the head of a multi-billion dollar initiative to receive the rights of live broadcast of major sports interviews.
According to Sky News , the British newspaper, Facebook will appoint the executive director of the "Euro Sport", Peter Hutton.
Hutton's appointment, which ends on February 9, is the deadline for bids for the English Premier League Premier League coverage between 2019 and 2022.
Experts believe that traditional broadcasters are concerned about Facebook's entry into the frantic competition line, since it has significant financial resources.
