@snook's Ten Questions:
It seems that there is a list of ten questions making the rounds on Hive, thanks to our dear friend @snook and her post: Read - My Hive Story
I figured I would give it a go... What the heck.
1. How long have you been on the Blockchain?
4 Years and 5 Months.
2. What was your background in Cryptocurrency when you first came to the blockchain?
I've known about crypto since bitcoin was a newborn. I was looking for decent coins when I found Steem.
3. What was your background in writing when you first came to the blockchain?
I was never really into writing or blogging, but I found Steemit an interesting place with a lot of potential. And here we are on Hive still going strong. I've gotten better over the years I think.
4. How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain?
Trick Question? I know lots of people, but none that were on a social media blockchain. ;)
5. How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain?
By joining communities. We all found our own way.
6. Who did you look up to when you first came to the blockchain?
Hmmm... lookup too? I wouldn't say I looked up to anyone when I joined. I am old and not a follower, I go my own way. Sometimes that coincides with someone else on their particular journey. I did find great company in the Veterans group and @guiltyparties though.
And then I joined @thealliance and met some very wonderful people. Back in the old days you used to have to make a post to be admitted and it was quite the adventure. There are some awesome folks there, it all started with @enginewitty.
7. How would you describe your first three months on the blockchain?
Like learning to swim by getting thrown into the deep end of the pool... you either sink or swim baby!
8. Has being a part of the blockchain changed you in any way for the good?
Yeah I would say so, I am more even tempered now. That could be because I am getting older, or the people here that I get along with lol. :D
9. What is your favorite memory from your time on the blockchain?
Just one eh? Hmm... that is definitely a tough call. Perhaps using the blockchain to do good things is my favorite. Helping to get funds and products to people that were starving in Venezuela with YAH was cool.
10. If you could give advice to a new person signing up to Hive what would it be?
Be yourself!
See that pic up above? I liken the Hive experience to playing a show. If you come off as a poser or disingenuous, you are done for. If you play to the crowd, and let your strengths shine through, you are golden. Write about who you are, and what you know.
We don't take kindly to scammers... just sayin.
You play a bad set you will lose your audience... plain and simple. ;-)
I hope that someone out there finds this useful lol. :D
Peace Out... Bitches!
