Hola Steemians! I have some random thoughts like—“What if I did something differently when I was younger would I appreciate myself more today?”
This is the question that I have in mind as I was scrolling through my feeds and saw this article—10 Things I Wish I Knew -Challenge by @lymepoet. This makes me think how my life would be if I'd be able to give an advice to my younger self.
Since this challenge caught my attention, I should definitely give it a go.
To begin with the rules are as follows:
- Write down ten things that you wish you knew earlier in life.

Here’s my Ten Things I Wish I Knew ( Advices For My Younger Self)
1. Dear Kicker,
Scars, stretchmarks, dark underarms, and your button nose, has nothing to do with your dreams to join the squad. So go with the audition! I know you can—push your boundaries—jump, dance,yell,flip and somersault til your heart's content.
2. Little Princess,
There's no need for you to hide while eating your snacks. Ma won't get mad. She actually wants you to eat more.
3. My darling,
Walk straight, chin-up. They are not staring. They are not mocking. You can tripped and fell, fart, scream, or even break-dance. They won't give a damn because they are busy focusing on themselves. You can breathe now
4. Hi Scaredy-cat,
Go talk to her or to him. Trust your instinct. Initiate. Not because they are rich or extraordinarily pretty they wouldn't want you to be their company. More often they are just scared as you are.
5. Yo! Bad-ass,
I like that you break rules and that you question everything—I find it liberating. But please don't go too far. Too far, that you already knew it's not worth anything you've been risking. Have this in mind, and you can save me from a lot of grief and guilt.
6. My Great Pretender,
Don't push it! Seriously! I don't like the songs your friends are playing. I don't like it then and certainly I don't like it now. You better stop pretending. Never Cool.
7. Dear Smart-Ass,
There's so much to learn. Your brain is capable of learning almost everything. Don't stop being curious and finding answer. Don't Stop just because you think you're the smartest person around.
8. Hey Sweetheart,
Stop comparing yourself and then mope. You are a warrior. Every scar, every flaws you have has stories that makes you special.
9. Zup! Young rebel,
I know you're thinking a lot about revenge. I know it's payback time. But if you're gonna hurt those kids, what makes you different from all those Monsters we are afraid of. Bullying could only hurt your kind, and your kind is precious and doesn't deserve it.
10. Dear Younger Self,
I love you. I am Proud of you. It's not your fault. I know you might feel like breaking but please carry on. Have the courage to push forward. Everything's going to be okay.
