Lets have a bit of #throwback thing here. Sharing this pathway, statue and colourful face crafted of our very own Hero named Datu Lapu-lapu.
This pathway made for the people who come and visit Mactan Shrine and love to enjoy the scenario at the sea and mangroves in the morning or doing some star gazing at night. Below the pathway is a seawater. This pathway located just in front of the statue of Datu Lapu-lapu
In year 1521 there's a fight happened in Isla sa Mactan (located in the Philippines). And that Island called Mactan is the place we're me and my family live in present. A Portuguese named Ferdinand Magellan come in our place long time ago (year 1521/ history) with his men to envade and try to get or to rule the place our ancient people living but Datu Lapu-lapu and some brave mens fought against the invaders and to make that history's long story short Datu Lapu-lapu and his men wins against the invaders and make them leave our place. Thus those invaders had a positive contribution to us and our belief (They bring the first image of Baby Jesus known to be Sto. Niño which our ancient person embrace the belief and the religion which until this time is with us and makes us a Catholic Believer. Datu Lapu-lapu was hailed one of our hero and in our place, particularly in the place that people believe where the fight again invaders happen the people make a shrine where they place a statue of Datu Lapu-lapu called Mactan Shrine.
Here's the statue of our National hero who gave us our freedom which we enjoy till now and makes us to live life freely being in a democratic country.
