Netflix series "The Mechanism", a fictional story about a Brazilian Mafia infiltrating the Government infuriates the Labor Party(far-left party) in my country and Labor Party leaders are demanding a full boycott against Netflix due to it's offensive content.
The former impeached "presidentress"(she made up this word) Dilma Rousseff from the Labor Party also condemns Netflix.
Due to the Labor Party boycott campaign, Netflix stock share rose a lot and many people who wouldn't be interested in the series are now watching it in a full "Streisand Effect".
PS1: the author of the series is also a left-winger.
PS2: The narrative is a FICTIONAL STORY although "slightly based" in Brazilian Politics.
