A solar system consists of a sun and all the celestial bodies that revolve around it. Suns are stars, which give out their own light. Planets revolve around a star. Most of the Planets have satellites that are called moons travelling around them. In our solar system there are called moons travelling around them. In our solar system there are altogether nine planets revolving around the sun.
There are two groups of Planets: Large ones and small ones. Mercury, venus, Earth and Mars form the group of smaller terrestrial-type planets. Their average density is four to fivetimes that of water. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are much bigger. The radius of jupiter is more than 11 times that of Earth, with a volume some1,320 times greater. Saturn has a diameter of 74,600 miles (120,053 KM), almost 10 times that of Earth. Both Jupiter and Saturnhave many sattelites. Uranus has a diameter of 31,600 miles(50,854 KM) and Neptunes is 30,700 miles (49,406 KM). The Diameter of Pluto is estimated to be about 1,420 miles (2,285 KM).
