So a couple of months back, I saw something about aide to musicians in Ga, and I applied.
This was their reply:
Dear Jerry,
Thank you for applying to the Georgia Music Relief Fund. As we all know, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on music globally, and we certainly see it first-hand across our state among the individuals and companies who make up Georgia's music industry.
The Georgia Music Relief Fund was established and funds were seeded by the board of the Georgia Music Foundation to assist "professional musicians and technical crew whose primary source of income is as a performing musician in live music venues in the state of Georgia, a touring musician based in Georgia or as a technical crew member (sound engineer, lighting engineer) employed by a live music venue in Georgia or touring musician/band based in Georgia."
While your performances at nursing homes, assisted living and retirement community venues is laudable and valued, it does not meet the original intent of the criteria specifying live music venues. Though we wish we had the funding available to include a wider group of folks in Georgia's music community, we unfortunately do not at this time. We will, however, keep your application on file should additional funding become available.
Thank you for your efforts to bring music to Georgia's retired and elderly residents. We hope that in 2021, you can eventually get safely back in to bring some light to the those who have had such a difficult time during the pandemic.
Sincerely,

But then today THIS came:
Jerry,
Through the kindness of a recent donor, we are able to fund a very small number of original applications that didn't make the first round. We'd like to send you a grant check, but given the ongoing issues we have had with the US Post Office delivery, could you please confirm your mailing address? Once you've confirmed this, a check will be processed and mailed to you.
Kind regards,
Lisa Love

You better believe I confirmed my mailing address.
Now the ball is back in their court.
