LIBRE Blockchain has successfully integrated the Lightning Network and the pNetwork to make BTC & USDT accessible to anyone, anywhere. Libre focuses on Bitcoin DeFi.
Launched in July 2022, LIBRE is a DPoS (Delegate Proof-of-Stake) blockchain, with non-custodial pegging of assets (e.g: pBTC, pUSDT) provided by pNetwork.
LIBRE is designed for maximum-usability of BTC/USDT with aim to make it easy to build dApps that are simple for end-users. What makes LIBRE chain different from other chains?
- No token required
- Zero gas fees
- Block Time: 0.5 second
- Human-readable usernames
- Onboard with BTC in seconds
- On-chain BTC/USDT AMM
- On-chain referrals for friends/family/followers
- 4000+ transactions per second
- Build in Typescript + other top languages
- Compatible with Antelope Open Framework Software
- Completely fair launch (No Premine, No VC)
- Environmentally friendly blockchain (see)
- Lightning Network Compatible
When you use the Bitcoin Libre Wallet, you don't have to do anything complicated to send/receive Bitcoin to/from Lightning. It’s non-custodial, fast, feeless, completely decentralized with no central point of failure. Libre connects with Bitcoin Lightning Network via Libre's Lightning Providers (LLPs) which provide liquidity and swaps for pegged-bitcoin (pBTC) to bitcoin (BTC) on Lightning. According to DeFiLlama, the Total Value Locked (TVL) on LibreSwap Protocol is $2.9M.
- LIBRE Lightning Providers (LLP)
LIBRE uses the concept of Libre Lightning Providers (LLPs) to pay and receive BTC. Each of these Lightning Service providers runs its own Lightning node, and has an address on the Libre network where it can send and receive pegged Bitcoin (pBTC).
- pBTC on pNetwork
pBTC utilizes pNetwork, a decentralized, transparent and censorship-resistant solution for blockchains interoperability. It uses MPC technology to store an d manage pTokens assets (e.g: pBTC, pETH, pUSDT, pEOS, pBNB etc). pTokens are “wrapped” tokens designed to maintain a 1-to-1 peg between the native blockchain and the host blockchain.

pNetwork connects +15 blockchains, side-chain, Layer2, including major networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, and several Antelope chains like EOS, TELOS, LIBRE. Since 2020 it has processed more than $1 Billion volume in cross-chain transactions.
